As a Sussex County native and former firm clerk, Veronica became the owner of the practice in early 2022.
She is known for bringing a "zest for life" and a positive attitude to her practice, proudly serving the community her family has called home for generations.

Ches is a University of Delaware Civil Engineering graduate and is another integral Townsend in-house, as he's Veronica's brother, and heads our real estate law department. He lives with his wife, Emily, and his rescue hound-dog, Charlie. He likes to watch football and play golf on the weekends, and spends time in search of the best burrito.

Barbara is born and raised in the Washington, DC area. After graduating from the U. of South Carolina, she returned to the DC area to pursue a career in computers and data communications. She raised 3 children and took great enjoyment being their youth basketball coach for 15 years. Barbara is an avid athlete that enjoys tennis, swimming, and biking.

Lexi received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas, raised an amazing son, and lives in Berlin with her wonderful husband and two dogs. In her free time, Lexi studies homeopathic medicine, quantum mechanics and all things astrological. She is passionate about creating comprehensive estate plans to help individuals and families.

Chick has worked many jobs, including operating a “plug in” switchboard, being a master phototypographer and certified HVAC tech. Her love of horses led her to become a side-saddle judge/instructor and tack shop owner. She has 45+ years in the legal field, learning aspects of civil, criminal, foreclosure, real estate and more.
